NexusLA is a 501c3 non-profit organization with a mission to accelerate the growth of high-potential technology-enabled companies in the State of Louisiana by  providing coaching, capital and connections.

COACHING: Operating from the 45,000 s.f. Louisiana Technology Park business incubator facility in Baton Rouge, our high-quality, experienced team members provide 1:1 growth advisory services as well as connections to resources, strategic partners, and industry professionals who serve as mentors and advisors to drive business growth. NexusLA also operates the BizTech Fellows and Challenge programs, which foster STEM-based entrepreneurship on the campuses of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (“HBCUs”) by providing students and faculty an opportunity to learn about the process of creating a STEM-based business.

CAPITAL: Our team has developed an extensive network of capital providers in Louisiana, as well as the knowledge of what an attractive investment looks like to those investment professionals. Our investment readiness services can help our clients refine their business model, business plan, and investment presentation to achieve the best possible chance of receiving investment. Once our clients are ready, our team will help connect them to capital providers who best fit their investment profile. PitchBR and the BREW High Stakes Pitch programs provide opportunities to get feedback and funding from Louisiana’s business and investment community. Innovation Catalyst, an entity spun off from NexusLA in 2012 and currently housed at the Louisiana Technology Park, operates a seed capital fund and the Red Stick Angels Network, which invest exclusively in Louisiana businesses.

CONNECTIONS: NexusLA serves as the leader of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Capital region, hosting a regular meeting of entrepreneurial ecosystem support organizations, and providing multiple in-person and virtual opportunities for entrepreneurs to connect with and learn from resource and capital providers and each other. Major programs include: PitchBR quarterly pitch competition, Tech Park Academy monthly lunch & learn, Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week and the BizTech Challenge. NexusLA also provides social events and CEO roundtables for its Louisiana Technology Park incubator clients, as well as hosting meetings for user groups, white hat hacker groups, and others in the broader community.
