It fulfills this mission through initiatives that support community, regional and national needs in health and medicine, resources for entrepreneurs and the development of a science and technology-based workforce. 
Its initiatives are the Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program (EAP), the Center for Molecular Imaging and Therapy (CMIT), EdVentures, the Digital Media Institute at InterTech (DMII), the InterTech Science Park (ITSP) and Envision Research.
