Intro to Taking the LEAP: Your First Step

August 13 @ 9:00 am - October 1 @ 11:00 am CDT

Free

Topic: Start-up Assistance

Are you in the early stages of starting your own business? Need a little extra help with that next big step?

If you missed the cut-off for the last Taking the Leap program, LSBDC at ULM is excited to announce that we will be continuing the program with a second round of classes in the Fall.

In the meantime, join us on Friday, August 13th, 2021 from 9 am to 11 am for this informative workshop that will take you through an overview of the program and what you need to do to prepare before the second round opens for registration!

Currently this event is scheduled for in-person, but we will likely move it to Zoom due to Covid precautions with the new variant.

We will discuss:

  • an overview of the Taking the Leap program
  • why Taking the Leap is beneficial to entry-level entrepreneurs
  • the application process and the requirements needed
  • the basics of starting your business

This will be a casual and informal workshop. We’ll have peer-to-peer discussions about what stage you’re at in starting your business; common challenges that we face when starting a business; and how to frame your progress thus far. If you are interested in applying for the Taking the Leap program that will be in the Fall (dates TBA), this is an event you won’t want to miss!
